EMERGENCY MEETING ... FINALLY SCHEDULED!

To All,
I regret the delay in moving this meeting forward. Like most of you, as a
private practitioner, I am quite busy and working harder to earn far less.
We are all tilting at windmills now. There is little, or no, assurance of
payment for most of the specialized work we do. This outrageous situation
continues to worsen as insurance companies, gleefully, follow the
Medicare/CMS model now.
I, and some of my peers here in NJ, are self-funding this meeting. More of
our peers, nationwide, have dedicated much time, resource and effort in
enlightening the rest of us about the CMS debacle. I am hopeful for their
participation in this meeting. I have invited Lobbyists and politicians to
help us to understand the Washington way. OPGA has indicated their support
for this gathering and have much information to offer us all. The Hanger
Group is certainly welcome, as well. Their experience and administrative
excellence can only be beneficial to our group. This affects us all! As has
been said previously, we should all be best of friends. The folks on this
List-Serve should inspire us all. You, certainly, have inspired me!
I am hearing of the start of a new round of CMS assaults on our tiny
profession. This is the time! We must coalesce and be heard ... now! We have
ideas and we need to share in our collective experience. We must receive, at
least, 200 RSVP's for this meeting to be meaningful. I would prefer to
receive 2500 of them.
It is time to tell our story in unison ... to the nation. Let everyone
know who's really kicking grandma off the cliff! And Jeff ... we are working
on a Poster. BTW, everyone should follow his suggestion and go to
'Change.Org' to sign his Petition. Oh ... and you might want to bring your 'smaller'
checkbooks. There may be compelling reasons to do so.
We will be mailing informational packages to practitioners in NY, NJ and
Connecticut. We do so as we believe that many of our peers remain uninformed,
alone and desperate. They must be reached via mail. It would be helpful if
some of the practitioners in other states obtain ABC mailing lists for 2
or 3 other, adjacent, states and do likewise. Please contact me and I will
send you flash drives of this information to be distributed within your
region. Time is a problem. Email me soon and be a big part of this effort to
preserve your profession.
I am seeking to set-up a webinar for this meeting, but we prefer bodies.
I have piggy-backed this meeting to occur at the end of the NJ Academy
Meeting in Atlantic City. The meeting will occur at 2:00 PM, Friday,
November 08, 2013 @ Bally's Hotel & Casino. RSVP me @ <Email Address Redacted>
(mailto:<Email Address Redacted>)
I look forward to meeting you all and getting reacquainted with old
friends. We have the power to enlighten the public and to change policy. Now is
the time. Please participate or your private practice will, likely, become a
part of an extinction event.
Thanks for your anticipated participation.

Hello All
Last week I posted information about the petition....
<URL Redacted>
A lot of you have signed it and I thank you for that. Some of you
have spread the word about it, once again... Thank You. We need a
lot of signatures to make this movement successful. If you haven't
forwarded information to your friends, family, colleagues, and
patients yet, please, please, please do it. Check out the petition
again, Change.org makes it very easy.
I know that some of you are very busy and haven't found the time to
sign or forgot to do it. No problem, we all have been there.... but it
only takes a couple of seconds and it could be hugely important for
our future.
But for those of you who have had the time and haven't signed yet. I
would like you to do some soul searching. If you are not part of the
solution, you are part of the problem. We need your help!!! I know
more people on this forum have complained about Medicare then have
signed it. In my mind, you lose your rights to complain if you don't
sign. Sorry to be blunt but we are at a crossroads and need all the
support we can get.
I know that our field is small and you may think that we can't affect
Washington. However, I don't think we have really tried a true
grassroots effort before. What we lack in numbers, we make up in the
fact that every one of our success stories could be pictured on an
inspirational poster. If you don't think that is power, than you are
crazy. We just haven't tried hard enough to use this power.
Best Regards
