Hello all, I believe I have seen similar posts about this before but am
unable to find any results in the archives so I am inclined to post this
question. What socket suspension methods do you find the best results for
trans-tibial runners. Specifically, I have a fairly short (4 ½”) and boney
residual limb in mind. Have you had success with locking pins? I am
concerned about the internal matrix coming above the fibula head and
interfering with knee flexion and I am not very inclined to use one without
a matrix for fear of the “milking effect”. What about suction vs. vacuum?
How about TPE vs. silicone vs. urethane for the liner? I thank you all and
will post responses, names withheld.
