Hello Colleagues and Guests,
Thanks for the replies regarding the Bionicare knee system. There were a
few interesting stories. Manufactured, I believe, by VQ Orthocare, this
is a three point osteoarthritis KO with a TENS unit incorporated. Since
it does have a 3 point pressure system incorporated in the KO, I believe
it should be located in the L-Code category. This is especially true
since it sounds like the KO is used as an adjunct treatment (which means
3-point pressure) option as well. But since it's bundled with the TENS
unit, I suppose it gets awarded the E-Code standing. Perhaps an L-Code
and an E-Code (or L-Code) combination would make more sense.
