For all of us that have spent countless hours responding to the Region A
Performant Recovery Audits -good news they have been rescinded!
I recieved a letter today from CMS Subject line : rescind. This letter is
to notify you that at this time Performant Recovery is rescinding the
review of the claims shown on the attached report. When I called
Performant, they said they were told to rescind them after letter to
physicians went out and will start with 2011 claims
I wonder how easy it will to get money back to those that had to return
overpayments ?
So now you have to look forward to new audits that will be coming down the
road shortly. 2011 and forward audits - for LLP, covers, spinal orthotics,
etc.
