Hi All
We are re-examining our practice of using A-frame standers in our MM clinic
due to insurance push back and lack of supporting empirical evidence. They
are used in our clinic with kids that have head control in sitting before
they are ready to ambulate so that they can work on core control, balance
and righting reflexes. Typically this correlates to 9-12 months of age. Our
philosophy has always been to prevent motor milestone delays as much as
possible but with such a lack of evidence supoprting our theorized goals,
we wanted to reach out and see what other centers are doing and if have any
protocols you could share with us.
Thanks!
Niki
