Dear caring people,

I have defended with a 100% REVERSAL RATE AT THE ALJ LEVEL against the
RAC's, so far. But, the fact that I was not collecting the interest on that re
recovered money was killing me. We recently learned that if you request
interest, if the decision is found favorable, then you may in fact receive
interest on those funds. We now make such a claim on every audited claim.
Maybe if they start losing with skin in the game they will not pick on
legitimate providers.

Also, I lost a day in the office last week arguing a Medicaid PA in court.
I PA! This was for an adjustable heel height foot. To avoid paying for the
foot, they hired a lawyer, an MD as an expert witness, and another
professional expert witness administrator. We spent two hours in front of a judge,
I do not know what court cost for that would cost, but add a couple of
hours prep time, travel, and transportation for the legal team and expert
witnesses, and I am sure that they spent way more money avoiding paying for a
prosthetic foot for this South Georgia woman, than they would have spent
providing the patient with the foot. And I still do not know what the decision
of the judge will be!

I am living in Bizzaro world, who else has these stories, I am forwarding
this to my distinguished congressman Sanford Bishop for consideration.

Is this the future of healthcare in American? What is next Emergency Room
Court? At one time that would have seemed like crazy fanatical ranting's of
right wing extremist trying to make a point, but I stepped through that
metal detector in the courthouse in Atlanta, and realized this is no joke - as
the security guy ran the back of his hand over my junk. I am disturbed on
many levels.
