Good morning, everyone.

We all know by now, that should we have a Medicare amputee Pt. with
power wheelchair or oxygen supplies, they are considered non-to-very-low
ambulatory and pretty much non-prosthetic candidates. From local
experience, same goes for DSHS ones.

Does the same principle apply to KAFO patients? I have an MS patient
that will 100% benefit from a light weight KAFO, but it all came to a
halt, as her clinic is setting her up with a power wheelchair. She's
Medicare and DSHS 2ry. She wants the device.

Thoughts? We are in region D, if it makes any difference.

Sincerely yours and grateful for responses
