The following is the answer to my previously post question:
Title: A Comparison Retroactive Study of the Efficacy of Using an Immediate Post-Op Procedure Protocol for Reducing Medical Issues in Below-Knee Amputees
Speaker: Arthur Shea, CPO
Presentation Description: This is study of IPOP patients vs. non-IPOP patients and their medical results over time after amputation.
This will be published in the Annals of Vascular Disease in the coming months. After discussion with Mr. Shea, he told me that it does NOT include anything about decreasing pain medication usage in relation to early ambulation. I must have misunderstood. Thanks for all the replies.

Subject: [OANDP-L] IPOP study
I was at the 2012 AOPA meeting and attended a presentation about the benefits of IPOP usage with early ambulation in relation to pain medication.
I would like to get in contact with the authors of this study or find the actual published article. If I remember correctly it was funded through the VA (though no articles found in the JRRD) in one of the northeastern states.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
