List-serve,
I have just received a denial for test sockets (we called to check on pre-auth) on a Humana Medicare patient. We were told that test sockets are a non-covered service for this patient's policy. Has anyone had a similar experience? Were you able to appeal? Were you successful? How can they deny services to a Medicare recipient when it is normally a covered service?
I guess the insurance industry wants us all to go back to the 1960s. Thanks in advance for your responses.
Unbelievable,
Rick Stapleton, CPO
