NAAOP encourages you to participate in this year's Annual Policy Forum. Your
strong government relations advocacy and voice is needed in Washington at
this watershed moment for your profession.
Join your colleagues March 12-13 in Washington, DC to for the Annual 2013
O&P Policy Forum - the best opportunity to make your case for survival to
the people you elected who can be part of the solution.
Visits are more powerful than letters and for what's at stake - it's the
best use of time and money!
The forum begins on Tuesday March 12 at 12:30 PM with briefings from key
Members of Congress, Peter Thomas, Esq., the AOPA lobbying team and other
experts about RAC audits and other critical issues confronting the O&P
Profession. We will wrap up the first day on how to use this information
effectively when visiting your member of Congress. The evening will provide
an opportunity over dinner for you to get to know colleagues from your state
who will accompany you on many of the congressional visits the following
day.
Your participation is important - but even more important - bring one of
your patients. They can put a human face and tell our story of restored
mobility and quality of life.

. The meeting will culminate on Wednesday, March 13th with advocacy visits
with your elected representatives and their staffs on Capitol Hill.
. AOPA's staff and lobbyists will schedule these meetings for you. In
addition to intensive briefings on AOPA's federal policy objectives, there
will be extensive briefings and training on critical state O&P issues,
including parity and licensure.
