Phoenix Rising for Haiti is a multidisciplinary
rehabilitation team that provides complete care in one of the poorest
regions of Haiti www.phoenixrisingforhaiti.org
We restore functional mobility by providing
comprehensive evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions;
including prosthetics, orthotics, physical therapy, fracture casting and
wound care.
Our goal is to create a network of sustainable
rehabilitation clinics throughout rural Haiti run by local PRH trained
Haitians.
The PRH clinic is in the town of Port-de-Paix, in the
north-west region of Haiti. The clinic sees up and around 400 people per
week, and while the workload can be quite intense and tough going, it is
extremely rewarding. Each trip is funded by the individual to cover the
cost of internal Haiti transfers, accommodation and food during your
stay.
We are currently looking for skilled, clinicians and
technicians to join the PRH team for their upcoming trip from 18 May - 1
June 2013.
