Hello List,
I had a patient mention something called 'Farabloc' to me and am curious if
any of you have experience with it. It is a fabric which supposedly uses
the principles behind a Faraday cage to block out electromagnetic waves,
and has been shown to reduce phantom limb pain. I'm guessing the theory
involves something about preventing EM waves from exciting electrons in
open-ended nerves and starting a nerve impulse, but the study and
documentation on their site is shady at best. I'm curious if any of you
have used this material and what results you've seen as far as reducing
phantom pain. The site says it's also useful for healing sports injuries,
and alleviating fibromyalgia and chronic pain...I'm skeptical, but figured
I'd ask.

Thanks for any information,
