What is your most effective response for a request for an invoice for an off the shelf brace supplied to a workers comp patient to not get ripped off by the workers comp carrier?  Item was authorized in advance.  Do you supply invoice or do you write letter explaining that the brace is also accompanied by measuring, fitting, instructions, adjustments, etc. Do you tell them that it is not an item that someone walks in requesting and they are simply handed a brace and they are out the door with no interaction, no time spent making sure brace is appropriately fitting for proper function?

Thanks for letting me know what has worked (or not) for you.  This request comes (of course) after bill has been in over 60 days and only was sent after I called to check on status of bill.

Thank you,

Debra Adams
