I am saddened to report the passing of James (Jim) Brown CPO on January 11
2013. I had the pleasure of working with Jim at ACTRA Rehabilitation while
he lived in the Milwaukee area. He was a man of many talents and interests
beyond his knowledge of O&P. Please read the following obituary as
published in the Des Moines Registry...

James A. Brown, 63 went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on
January 11, 2013 due to his battle with gastric cancer. A celebration of life
will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Westview Church in
Waukee with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Jim was born on July 21, 1949 in Syracuse, NY to Francis and Shirley
Brown. He was employed at Hanger Orthotics & Prosthetics as a Practitioner and
Branch Manager. He had been in the field of O & P since 1968 and was very
dedicated to his patients. He was also a classic car enthusiast and a member
of the Iowa Studebaker Club. His passion for faith, family and friends was
an inspiration to many. He continued to have a positive attitude throughout
his illness.

He is survived by his wife, Tina; their sons, Christopher and Kevin
(Connie); grandchildren, Mason & Ella; brothers, Robert (Kathleen) and Joseph;
sisters, Rosemary (Kevin) Treacy, Therese Browne and Penny (Robert) Anderson;
 and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents;
sisters, Katherine and Maureen; and a brother, Michael.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Westview Church, 1155 SE Boone
Dr., Waukee, IA 50263 or HCI Kavanagh Hospice House on 56th St in Des
Moines.
