Hello Colleagues and Guests,
Many of you may have heard about the possible potential for hacking into
your computer through the JAVA application. I received this email today
from a knowledgeable person at at corporation and thought I would pass
it along. I'm not sure how much truth there is to the hacking exposure,
so use your own judgement about this. I guess my thoughts were; what do
you have to lose?
Here it is:
1. Update your Java (see instructions below).
2. Do not use Internet Explorer. Download & install Mozilla Firefox
a. Go to< <URL Redacted>> <URL Redacted>.
b. Click on Firefox - Free download
c. Just click on all the default prompts (ok, continue, etc.)
To update Java:
Go to< <URL Redacted>> http://www.java.com and click on the Free
Java Download button.
