Thank you to everyone who replied. Here are the responses, I didn't ask for permission to use names so I've just posted their answers...I now remembered last time I did this, we took apart a heated sock and used what we needed when manufacturing the socket. sometimes sandwiching it between then liner with 1/8 pelite and sometimes on the outside of whatever liner we used with the battery built into the socket.
For this particular patient he doesn't use a socket anymore he just wants a liner to keep his stump warm so we are probably going to go with a pelite or ossur liner and give him a heated sock to pull over it when needed:)
I just use the guts from heated socks. I bought the socks along with rechargeable 9Vs at bass pro.
Laminate in an electric sock?
I have used these as well and we got them from our local Ski shop, I am not a skier
and cant recall what they use them for
Here is a link of the kind we used.

Hi Gary,
HOTRONIC IN CALGARY has a lithium battery with pads. A bit expensive but
may be worth looking at.
Look on Amazon.com . in the search type heated socks. Then you'll be directed to a bunch of them. Most of the socks are powered with D cells. there are some with the 9v. just have to search.

Subject: Heat Pads for TR socket
Hi List,
I'm looking for some help finding heat pads for a TR socket. I have made a couple of these prostheses in the past (about 13 years ago) that have two wires connecting to a 9 volt battery which usually go between the liner and socket. I can't remember where I got them though, so if anyone has any idea where I can find them that would be much appreciated.
I will repost all replies for you
Thanks
