I have a forty-five year old Trans Tibial amputee with a total knee
replacement on the amputated side. The problem is that the lower anchor pin
is ~ ½ “longer than the bone of the tibia. We have him in a total contact
socket, 6mm liner with ~ 8mm distal cushion .suspension sleeve and negative
pressure suspension. He is finding that the distal tissue is sensitive to
the pressure. There is no excessive redness when the liner is taken off for
tissue inspection. We are trying extra cushion at this time to see if this
will reduce the pain. I am looking for any ideas.
Thank You
