We have an 8 year old female knee disarticulation that is very rough on her prostheses. She currently has a total knee and flex foot that are both under a year old that already require replacement. The heel of the foot has worn thin and splintered and the knee has rusted and worn down from kneeling and usual playing outdoors. She uses her prosthesis in the shower and everywhere else she can possibly go outdoors. She has great voluntary control of her residual and does not require an extension assist or a knee with inherent stability but would benefit from a polycentric design for shortening of shin in swing and aesthetics while sitting.
I would appreciate any recommendations for active, dynamic, and resilient feet and knee options for pediatrics that you may have had experience with.
