Dear List Members,
I'm looking for an alternative to 1/4 inch Proflex with silicone. I have
some AK patients requesting something more tacky for their inner liners.
One particular skin fit patient feels that his proflex liner (used in
conjunction with an ESP auto-expulsion Lyn Valve) is feeling too stretchy
and when he perspires he slips out. He loves the fit of the socket, just
not the material. I've been considering an Ottobock Polydor inner liner,
but haven't had much exposure to that material.
Are you finding another thermoplastic giving you better results? I know
that once we find a material we like we usually stick with it. I just wish
it would stick with the patient!
Thanks!
