Greetings listserve:
I was looking for info on:
1) Low profile locks for AK's that allow you to pull the pin/liner down by
turning the release button. The Ossur 200 lock doesn't engage until 3/4
from the umbrella, requiring a very long pin and taking up a lot of space.
Looking for low build height lock. We also need to offset the knee 1/2
posterior and that discrepancy of course causes some problems. There are
various offset plates, etc but every layer adds height! We have enough room
for something reasonable, but not for the Ossur lock, spacer for the
extra pin, offset plate, and female adapter etc. What is your favorite
solution? special offset lock? Lock/plate combo?
2) We are looking for a good transfemoral locking liner. We use Ossur
liners and like many things about them, but find they still elongate a lot
on fleshy limbs. Any that you've found are better?
3) I am also looking for a source for those various height plates one uses
to have patient's stand on to adjust height of prostheses. Most I've seen
people make on their own--usually out of plywood-- but I have seen some
pre-made ones. But I cannot find them in any catalog that I have.
Thank you!
Annie
