Dear List Members,

I'm working with a colleague to identify commercially available gait
assessment systems that are designed for use in a clinical setting. These
light gait analysis systems vary considerably and do not have the
features of a complete motion analysis laboratory. Use of a video playback
and observational analysis using a smartphone is an example of the most
basic method. We're looking for systems designed for sports or healthcare
that allow some added analysis beyond real time or slow motion playback.

Please let me know if you have experience using a system that allows for
more analysis (angles, EMG, force etc), and how you use this system in your
practice.

1. System name
2. For what percentage of patients do you use this type of analysis?
3. What do you do with the data you collect? (Example: maintain data in the
patient record, formal before/after comparisons, communication with
referral sources, patient education, appeals to payors, etc?)

If you do not use any system like this, please identify barriers you
experience or anticipate to using one?

Thanks for your help.
