Dear Colleagues,
I'm reaching out to see if anyone would be willing to share success stories (socket design, component selection) for young, active hemipelvectomy patients. I know this isn't a patient population we encounter much, and for some our exposure is limited to what we learn in school. I have a early 20's, 115 lb recent amputee (hemi) that I'm considering using a Littig hip, Total Knee and Single Axis Foot combination, and some type of flexible socket design. I haven't personally evaluated the patient yet so my ability to plan further is limited. If anyone has any other component recommendations or socket design specifics such as materials or trimline design, it would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
