The Prosthetic and Orthotic Component Clearinghouse (P.O.C.C.), was founded
in the summer of 2007 as a way to keep usable prosthetic and orthotic goods
from becoming landfill by redistributing them to people and projects who
need the otherwise expensive components and materials. Until now, the
project has been generously housed at MedShare International (
www.medshare.org) in Decatur, Georgia. Due to MedShare's flourishing
productivity, MedShare has come to need all available storage space.
Effective immediately, P.O.C.C. will be housed at the Bobby Dodd Institute (
www.bobbydodd.org) in Atlanta, Georgia, and the operations will continue to
be overseen by Prosthetic Hope International, Inc. (formerly Sonrie
Ministries, Inc.).
The Bobby Dodd Institute, whose mission is: “Empowering people with
disabilities and disadvantages to maximize their potential by securing
economic self-sufficiency, independence, and integration into society”, is
a perfect collaborator for this project.
Effective immediately, individuals, P&O facilities, or manufacturers that
would like to make donations of boxed shipments to P.O.C.C. should do so
at the address below. Anyone wishing to make a donation requiring a pallet
should contact <Email Address Redacted> before making this shipment. See
guidelines for all donors here: <URL Redacted>. See
