I have a question about payment from Indiana Medicaid. It might apply to
all Medicaid States (but not sure). When Medicare(Primary) pays in full
with a payment code of CO-45, then the claim autocross' overs to the
Secondary insurance (which in this case is Medicaid). When we receive
the EOB from Medicaid, Medicaid does not deny the claim but puts a
payment code of CO-94 (processed in access of charges) (which means that
Medicaid paid nothing, because Medicare paid over the maximum allowable
amount for the code).
Is this normal? Is there any way, that Medicaid ever pays any amount as
a Secondary after Medicare?
Please any suggestions, or experiences will be very helpful.
Thank you,
