Dear List,
I was recently asked by a rehab doc. to provide a patient with a seal-in
liner with auxiliary pin suspension to satisfy a unique patient's needs.
I am not aware of any way to retrofit a pin onto a Seal-In liner. I am
aware of auxiliary seals available from Evolution or ESP which can be
retrofitted onto a suspension liner, which would of course be used with
an air-tight lock. Are there retrofittable magnetic glue-on pucks
available to work with some of the electromagnetic locks? (This patient
is averse to sleee suspension and pin suspension gives him distal
milking and pain with soft tissue distraction, but Seal-In hasn't been
100% reliable due to his limb shape and soft tissue.) Any other ideas?
Much appreciated as always,
