I am writing to ask for responses to experiences with new CAD/CAM
technology. My facility currently does not use any scanner or program. We
currently take an impression of everything and then either make it in house
(80% of all) or central fabricate the items. It is important to us to
always strive to improve patient care and outcomes. What systems are most
people currently using? Is it beneficial to have/purchase your own carver
for in-house or not? How much of a learning curve is there to become
accustomed to a new fabrication technique? Please give me any information
you can as we are looking to purchase into a system in the near future.
I will be happy to post consensus information for anyone in the same boat.
Thank You,
Thomas J. Daley, C.O.
