Thanks to everyone who responded, I will try and summarise. The prosthesis is going to be used primarily in the gym, so a positive suction suspension was the goal. There were quite a few suggestions to use an upper extremity liner and cut the end off. That would work but the liners generally cost more than the reimbursement for a sleeve. Craig McKenzie at Evolution(Ossur) offered to make a custom sleeve with re-inforcing matrix. (always one of the most helpful guys in the field!!) The solution we used was an ALPS sleeve - a colleague had an old Alps VIVA sleeve that he kindly passed along, size 16 and that worked well. We had already put a valve in the socket so a regular ALPS Easy Sleeve (SFR 16-3) should work well for replacements. ALPS also make an XXS Easy Sleeve which I think would also be an option for even smaller limbs. Thanks again to everyone who responded, the Listserve is a wonderful thing :0) Arthur Graham, CP
