Hello list,
I was wanting to get a feel from you'll what a typical lab
manager's responsibilities were (and what an industry standard pay scale
was. I know nothing is written but I was going to compile responses to come
up with a range. The scope of my practice for relevancy purposes is I'm
primarily a prosthetic practice with a high volume of in and out of state
patients. We provide a quick turn around depending on the case...sometimes
start to finish in a week's time and again this depends on the patients
needs. My technicians are seldom asked to stay overtime but if a project is
behind my lab manager typically comes in early to finish and/or I stay late
before they do. Fortunately or unfortunately I am consulted when it comes
to tasks that the tech's aren't experienced with or comfortable working
start to finish on. Anyway, I just wanted to give a little in-sight on the
practice for you'll to have a little comparison.
Thanks,
