I am looking for anyone with some experience with PFFD patients. One of
our long time patients has expressed his interest (finally) in switching to
an endoskeletal system from an exoskeleton system. He has had the van nes
rotationplasty surgery and multiple derotation surgerys. He is fully
ambulatory and even was able to play some high school athletics (K3-4).
I am looking for any recommendations you are willing to offer. I have a
clinical photograph I am willing to share (please contact me). What foot
would you recommend? What construction methods have worked? Any pitfalls
to avoid?
My patient is very interested in the cosmesis as well. He is hesitant to
change, but he now understands the functional capabilities of a more
dynamic system.
Thank You for all your help.
