Dear O and P List,

I am interested in what benefits fabrication projects have (if any) during initial training as an Orthotist and/or Prosthetist. The goal of this survey is to understand if the number of projects in your initial training had any affect on your confidence and competency as you began your career as a clinician.

The survey below basically asks how many projects that you partially or completely fabricated (not observed or watched a video). Include only those laboratory experiences where you actually fabricated or constructed a part of the device. I realize that it may have been some time since you have been in school, but an estimation is adequate. I have left a comment box so you can add your opinion about the relevance of contextual learning experiences.

Below is the link for the survey:

I will leave the survey open for a month and report back to you what I find.

Best regards,

Gerry
