I have a patient who presents with isolated plantarflexion weakness to the
left ankle. He is wanting an AFO to wear only while cycling. The AFO must
fit inside or overtop of the cycling shoe and needs to provide a
plantarflexion assist to allow him to push down on the pedal while riding.
It can not be a completly solid ankle. I was looking at a design similar to
a dorsal night splint that would be able to wrap around the outside of the
shoe. Has anyone had any similar experiences to this and can help with some
ideas?
Thank you,
