Boston is the place to be as we build on our heritage and learn to prepare for the rapidly changing healthcare environment. The planning committee has been working hard to ensure the sessions will provide cutting edge science with clinical correlation to expand your skills and improve patient care. The meeting will kick off on Thursday, September 6 at 8:00 AM with two tiers of manufacturers' workshops or the option to partake in the Annual Fall Thranhardt Golf Classic. All will meet back at the Hynes Convention Center for the opening reception in the exhibit hall on Thursday evening. The next three days will begin with a general session and then we break out into specialty sessions divided up into six concurrent programs with plenty of time in-between for perusing the technology displayed in the massive exhibit hall.
Networking, career advancement and education opportunities abound for professionals at all levels of experience and all disciplines. Whether you are an orthotist, prosthetists, pedorthist, post-mastectomy fitter, assistant, or technician, you won’t want to miss out on all the high-level scientific topics you will have to choose from. A sampling includes:
* The Impact of Pharmacology on the OP&P Patient Population
*The role of AFOs in the Outcomes of Clinical Test of Balance
*Dermatology for Orthotists and Prosthetists
*Idiopathic Scoliosis Symposium
*Current Work in Neuroprosthetics
*Instructional Seminar: Science and Practice of AFO Tuning featuring World Renown speaker, Elaine Owen
