Hello again fellow readers,
Since the launch of my website not to long ago new content has been rolling out almost daily and I have had a good flow of traffic through the site. I was really amazed when I saw how much traffic was coming from outside the US and this lead me to change the direction of the site. You will now notice that the site is now called International O&P resources. I have a new web domain for the site so it can be easily accessed and referenced (You can still use the original web domain as well). The new web domain is:
This takes the site into a whole new direction since I can now reach people beyond the US with new ideas and product reviews. We can also begin to review products from outside the US if I can find a person(s) who would be interested in becoming a contributor for there respective region. I would like to find representatives from different regions to share information / product reviews / and engage in discussion to share ideas to the word.
I want to also get the word out that I will be calling on all the O&P School to please find some information that they can contribute to the site to help those who have a difficult time finding relevant o&P information. The content can be elated to clinical practice, anatomy, fabrication, coding, research, and so forth. But non the less I will be emailing the directors at each school to find some rich and engaging content for the site.
Another item to note is that the idea of allowing discussion to the site is now a thing of the past and there will be a sister site that will be an entire discussion board. This will allow you to either access the site or discussion board separately. I think this would keep the main site from becoming to cluttered and allows visitors to the site to engage in discussion on the sister site and to create there own forums within the discussion to get answers to questions more rapidly.
One last note about the site is to keep an eye out for a mobile version to hit soon. I noticed from the sites analytic report that I have hits from multiple types of mobile devices and tablets. What I would like to know from these users is what would be the most important content they would like to view when they hit the site. Since the content added to the mobile version is limited I would like your feedback.
As with anything in life the site is growing and expanding rapidly so please be sure to check the site on a regular basis and dont forget to request information to be added or even email the site to have your content added. Multiple site links and information has been added through this channel and I am working on obtaining RGO information for a visitor of the site to help them in caring for a patient.
Please stay tuned!!!
Best Regards,
