Hello again readers,

A while back I posted to the list serve looking for information in regards to the Lyon Scoliosis Orthosis*. I am writing back to ask once again that if anyone has any information regarding this orthosis and can pass along the documents then it would be of great benefit to not only my research but others who have emailed me in regards to the original post.

One response directed me to an O&P lab that is located in Chicago area that is still fabricating these TLSO's and is having great success with them. From what I gather a now retired orthotist from this company traveled to France with and Orthopedic surgeon to learn the methodology of bracing with a Lyon and Fabrication techniques. While in contact with this person (once) I was met with resistance and the company was not willing to share any information at all in regards to bracing techniques or any information on fabrication. This is a let down to me since I was courteous enough to pass along a PDF file on the Lyon that I acquired through a web search as a sign of good faith and interest in the orthosis.

Again if anyone out there has any information they could pass along other than the readily searchable and downloadable PDF on the web then it would be much appreciated. I am looking for information in regards to bracing techniques for the lyon and fabrication documents. Also if anyone knows of who to contact outside the US then this would also be a plus to acquire the information.

*(Hello readers,
I have been performing research on Scoliosis for some time now and I have hit a road block. I am currently researching the Lyon method for Scoliosis management and I have found the Reference Manual for the Lyon Scoliosis Brace on the internet and although the information in the manual is very helpful I still am having a hard time seeking out an actual fabrication manual or some sort of resource for fabrication. The most difficult obstacle is discerning between what a Drive and Push are and when they are used. I looked into the SOSORT website and could not find anything and my hope is that someone has some sort of information they can pass along to me and the community at large. Thanks in advance for any response.)
