Good morning everyone.

I need recommendation on durable sealing sleeve for elevated, sorry,
sub-atmospheric socket TTA prosthesis.

Ones that came from Europe did not last too well.

Patient is *_very_* atrophied neuropathic person, with supracondylar
anatomy almost down to the femur size. Make things worse, he spends
about 14-16 hrs a day on his prosthesis and works at HomeDepot garden
center. He keeps going through sleeves in a heartbeat. Fortunately, SA
design worked out for him very well, as far as vacuum is maintained. Not
the brim tears, it's in various places, and I have trim line covered
with protective sheath. Part of it might be that he smokes.

I shall most appreciate something that is durable enough, and can be
applied to a limb that is abruptly narrowed above condyles. I do have
quick fixes for him, thank you Alps, but this is getting out of control
and becomes unreasonable.

Your recommendations are always appreciated. Just came upon me while I
typed this - did anyone try using Ossur Icex black Lycra sleeves, as
protective cover for sealing sleeve?

Sincerely,

Igor Lesko, LPO
