My O&P practice has been offered a joint venture business relationship with
a Podiatary practice. We are doing our homework and want to speak with
orthotists who may already be involved in similar arrangements; what are
the pros and cons. Specifically, billing ourselves vs. they do the billing
and pay us a percentage. If we do sell to them what is a reasonable charge;
ie some % of Medicare? Pay rent for space in their facility, then bill all
ourselves? Is that legal?
