Thanks to everyone who responded.
1. WBC Micro: <URL Redacted>
2. poly-lock - once it is put together, it is very difficult to separate.
3. Townsend
4. Aplix velcro hook and pile: <URL Redacted>
And we use the Aplix Z adhesive for the self adhering (strongest I've found). It helps to hit the self adhesive with a bit of heat before sticking to plastic.
Otto Bock has an incredibly strong hook but I'm not sure of its name
5. We order HTH velcro from this company. <URL Redacted>
Specific item number is 711 P/S115 Black Hook.
It's similar to the velcro you get in the soft kits with Allard USA Toe Offs. We like it because it's thin and holds really well. They're great to work with and will send samples upon request.
6. You may want to contact Halco USA in Hayward CA Phone 877-532-1561 or check their website www.halcousa.com< http://www.halcousa.com/ >
7. if you have a Marine Store in your area try there I often will purchase a marine grade Velcro that is super strong and will hold to any type of surface.......in fact its almost too strong sometimes

10. The best we have found is the velcro with the blue backing from sps.
11. Try Mcmaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#hook-and-loop-fasteners/=foxjfe
12. John, you probably already know this, but just in case. The real strength is Velcro is in its sheer holding ability. To increase the strength quite a bit, make sure the last 1, or so, of the Velcro is not backed with nylon or dacron. Of course when you do this, it makes it harder to pull the Velcro away. We burn the first two or three rows with a flame to prevent this problem and you still get the increased strength. With that said, there are several new Velcro products on the market that produce great results. One in particular is almost clear and very thin. I believe the thin part makes this less apt to pulling apart inasmuch that the Velcro cannot stretch as much. Hope this helps. I have sometimes found interesting versions of Velcro at the likes of Home Depot and Lowes. I don't purchase large quantities there, but I have found some interesting versions of Velcro there from time to time. Hope it helps a bit.
