Dear List,
Thank you to all who took the time to send their suggestions. My original
question with responses appears below. The option that will work for me is
the Hosmer durathane knee-shin. The catalogue does not mention the
compatibility with Mauch, but a check with Clay at Hosmer confirmed that it is.
Note: this should be mentioned to Ossur when ordering the Mauch cylinder.
I am interested in locating an exoskeletal setup for a hydraulic 'swing
and stance' cylinder. My patient currently uses a Mauch SNS unit within a
wood knee-shin, but the exo option is no longer available.
-----------------------------
You can look into hosmer urethane units.
You can also call Malcolm at Endolite and pick his brain. They make the
catech unit. Good luck.
Glenn
---------------------------
Be careful ..Iam sure your patient likes to
kneel on his knee,so you are going to want an endo with a large rubber
kneecap.
Black Max has the largest.Ossur type has no knee cap
I thought there was a co in France still making wood set-ups
You call Hosmer about a set-up
Good Luck
Jeff

Hosmer still makes a Durathane exoskeletal knee shin set up. Their
universal version will accept the Mauch SNS unit you describe.
Jacque
----------------------------
I believe you still can get a durothane exo knee shin set up from
Hosmer/Fillauer. Not too sure if it takes an SNS.
Karl
--------------------------
You could find a local machine shop to duplicate the old one, Cast the old
one and pour a new one out of resin, or introduce the client to endo.
James
---------------------
I inquired the same thing as you did several years ago. Hosmer has the
univeral durathane setup . It is for exoskeletals and in their catalog.
Fortunately I was able to convince my client to switch to an endoskeletal
mauch knee unit for many beneficial reasons.
Christina
-------------------------
Hosmer has a durathane exo setup that accepts the sns unit. If you need a
new hydraulic unit you will have to use the CaTech as Ossur wont sell you
a mauch seperately. You will need to remove as much durathane as you can
to reduce the weight. It works fine and I think its the only option. Hope
this helps.

Does Hosmer/ Fillauer still make the Durathane exo setup?
