Good Morning Colleagues,
I've been asked to sub for a friend while he's on vacation, but I recall reading last year that this is no longer an option in O&P. I remember reading that a practitioner must be an employee of the company where the pt is seen &/or the insurer is billed for service. Is this still the case?
On a side note: Anyone ever hear of providing a defintive TT socket to a pt who has worn his preparatory for 9months...the socket didn't fit so the practitioner told the pt I made it a size smaller b/c your limb will shrink & the socket will last you longer. ?!!!? The guy took receipt & a yr later the socket still doesn't fit.
Amazing.
Thank you & Happy New Year, All.
