Hi List,
I have a little 3 year old girl w/ PFFD/absent femur who needs a new extension prosthesis. Her current setup is basically a conventional AFO with free motion ankle joints on top of an alignable pylon and sach foot.(Solid stirrup of afo section mounted on bottom of sole and rivited onto a 4-hole pyramid). I'd like to give her a similar setup except that I will limit dorsiflexion (which is basically hyperextension at the knee joint for her. Problem is, I have no idea how to code this (L-codes). The socket is just a shoe, which works well for her as we can just mount a new shoe on as she grows...but there is no prosthetic code that allows the use of a shoe as a socket! Any thoughts?
