On behalf of the California Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (COPA)
Board of Directors, we are very excited to bring yet another great
opportunity to join us at the 2nd Annual COPA Educational Event on
Friday, November 4, 2011 at CSUDH O&P Program in Long Beach, California.
This one-day event will include three concurrent tracks. First,
attendees may experience the “hands-on” prosthetic workshop covering the
SPS “LimbLogic Vacuum Suspension” and the Otto Bock HealthCare
“Assessing Prosthetic Alignment: The Impact of Foot and Knee Selection.”
Second, attendees may also experience the “hands-on” orthotic workshop
covering the Allard USA “Custom ToeOFF and COMBO” and the Becker
Orthopedic “Stance Control – Use of Adjustable Assessment KAFO’s” as
well as the Ossur Americas “Ossur Academy’s Advanced C-Spine
Stabilization.” Lastly, attendees of the combined business/clinical
track will hear presentations from representatives of the State
Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF), California Medi-Cal Program,
Willoughby Doyle, DynamicBracingSolutions, Allard USA, Innovative
Neurotronics as well a Regional Center for Medicare and Medicaid
Services update(CMS) focusing upon O&P issues in California.
COPA will also be honoring COPA Founding Father Sam Hamontree, CPO(E) in
the Exhibitor Gallery during lunch. Mr. Hamontree was one the founding
fathers of COPA and has had a career of service to the O&P industry.
This educational event would not be possible without the sponsorship of
the following COPA Member Exhibitors: Allard USA, Cascade Orthopedic
Supply, Endolite, Freedom Innovations, Kingsley MFG., Ossur Americas,
Otto Bock HealthCare, SPS, and Trulife.
