Hello list members

I apologise if this comes out as a double post, I forgot to include a
subject in the first post.

Does anyone know if it's possible for Erythema Nodosum to occur due to the
rubbing of the trim line from a trans-tibial socket in an amputee?

There are no signs of fever, joint pain, infection, or fatigue.

I have heard Erythema Nodosum can be caused by trauma, but that it is very
rare.

The patients ultrasound report states:

The patient indicates a focal area of skin Erythema at the lateral aspect of
the right knee/ proximal lower leg. Dedicated ultrasound over this region
demonstrates no discrete mass legion. Minor subcutaneous Echogenicity
within the fat is likely to represent a focal area of inflammation possibly
relates to friction from the prosthesis.

The small area of skin Erythema is still sensitive, and becomes inflamed
easily even though the patient has not worn his prosthesis for a month.
