I am posting this on behalf of Jack's immediate family, and our family
here at Garden State Orthopaedic:
We mourn the loss of a dear friend and colleague, John Jack A.
Mitchell, Sr. who died on July 6 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, at
the age of 73. Jack was a dear friend to us all at Garden State
Orthopaedic, providing orthotic and prosthetic care to patients for
over 26 years. Jack had worked at Kessler Associates in East Orange,
NJ for 28 years before joining Garden State. Jack had great hand
skills and there was nothing he couldn't make or repair, starting in
this field when sockets were still carved from wood blocks. Most
importantly Jack was a man who cared deeply about his patients. If
there were emergency repairs or adjustments needed, Jack was there and
did whatever it took to get patient's comfortable and ambulatory. A
man of impeccable skills and moral commitment, Jack will be missed by
all who have had the honor to come in contact with him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 9th, from 2-4 pm at the
Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ.
07876 (973 584-7264).
