Good afternoon all,
I have a busy prosthetic practice working with
primarily young, active individuals. Basically, high volume number of
people seen on a regualr basis so we are well versed on most components
available....problem. We have been using seaflex (100,200 and 300) for our
flexible inner sockets but Endolite is having problems keeping it in stock.
They get the material from the manufacturer, North Sea plastics, who is
based out of Glosgow, UK. Now I cannot justify buying directly from North
Sea as that would be more materia than I could use in a timely manner and
still make it cost effective...no plans on being a distributor either.
I
have used Northvein flexible plastic and did not like as it is too rigid
and does not pull evenly. Proflex I feel the same about. Duraflex is a
material from a Guard Industries which does not heat consistently and
pullled equally as bad. Polyethylene is not an option. What else is being
used by others that pulls consistently and does not have the shrinkage
issues as Proflex or others do? Please advice, thanks.
