ORIGINAL POST
The patient has radial nerve involvement resulting in lack of wrist and
finger extension. Are there any devices that address this that are
functional and that
patients will wear for functional activities? Most of what I see have bulky
outriggers with rubber bands. What have you seen that patients will accept?
Thanks, Randy McFarland, CPO
RESPONSES
Benik makes the best one, patient will be very satisfied.
Alimed radial nerve glove....very functional...I've used them more than
once...got fairly good results.
Benik(Ph.800-442-8910) in their #W-700 series may be of help. Not sure of
your patient acceptance but at least no rubber bands & outriggers.
Benik corp makes a nice splint for this.
You can try the Saeboflex - Still have all the outriggers but a slicker
design.
