Dear OANDP-L:
Can anyone tell me about a 'successful' mobile service - has operated for
several years or more producing quality appliances? Am only aware of Jo
Nagel's in Hanoi/VN...
For those w experience running a mobile service, could you briefly comment
on -
-what do you consider to be 'mission critical elements' of a successful, mobile
P&O service?
-is a permanent workshop necessary? (how do you see the permanent and
mobile ideally working together?)
-what unique precautions/special considerations are necessary to
achieve/maintain appliance quality for a mobile service?
-what significant limitations apply to a mobile vs permanent facility?
-do you see a role for a 'mobile service' which does not fabricate, but takes
m'ments/fits/services appliances at satellite rehab centers?
Our team is considering a mobile service for northern Honduras and looking for
best models - please refer me to any evals/analyses if you are aware.
Thanks!
Best regards,
Jim
