Hello List!
I am writing on behalf of our office assistant who is struggling with this
workers comp case for a prosthesis:
I am in San Francisco CA. I am trying to figure out how a workers comp
adjuster calculates the price for a prosthesis. They are refusing to pay
Medicare and they are offering 20% below medicare and are not willing to
negotiate. I was told that legally in California we are allowed to bill 20%
above medicare. Does anyone know where I can find the law? Do I have any
leverage to work with? Can anyone provide me with tips on how to best deal
with workers comp cases and proper steps to take so that our company does
not lose money and is given fair price? Please advise! Thank you!
