I received the following responses:
1. M-fingers is the only body powered partial hand solution that I'm aware.
2. Contact Bill Hansen at Liberating Technologies. They have a mechanical
partial hand system you may want to consider.
3. David, I was referred your question on the list serv regarding partial
hand options. There are a couple options now available but not sure if
medicaid would cover them. One you can find at www.partialhandsolutions.com.
Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. Take care.
It appears that the M-Finger is the only choice at this time for mechanical
partial hand devices. The X-Finger is an option but is limited to the need
for a residual digit to work best. However they do have a model that works
metacarpal amputations but the cost is prohibitive.
Thanks for all your responses.
