Hi List,
Thank you for the info on shoe donations. Here is the original question:
Hi list,
We have many miss-matched shoes that are brand new. I seem to remember that there is a single shoe company that specializes in providing shoes for people that have different foot sizes vs the need to purchase 2 pair of shoes. Can someone please direct me to the source so I can donate those?
Thanks in advance,
M. Britt Spears, CPO, LO, LP, LPO, FAAOP-and many other initials-haha

We except miss paired shoes to the Alala cancer society. We use the
shoes for Lymphedema patients who can not wear the same shoes due to
swelling. We are a non-profit out of columbia sc. If you are
interested in donating please let me know and I will give you all the
details. Thanks - sherry
Your email was forwarded to me by Marmaduke Loke, CPO who knew that I had, in the past, worked with N.O.S.E. (National Odd Shoe Exchange) in Chandler, AZ. They accept donations of mis-mated shoes and if you send a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a request for a receipt for a tax deductible donation they will send you the required paperwork for you to deduct the fair market value of one pair of shoes for each mis-mated pair and the postage/shipping to send the shoes to them. Their contact information is National Odd Shoe Exchange, P.O. Box 1120, Chandler, AZ 85244-1120 (or if you need a physical address: 162 W. BoxElder, Chandler, AZ 85225); the phone number is (480) 892-3484 and the website is www.oddshoe.org Thanks for taking the time to find a home for the mis-mated shoes!
I don't know where you practice but if you practice in an area where there is a Nordstrom's department store or your patients have access to the Nordstrom's website, Nordstrom's has a policy that they will provide mis-mated shoes for a person who has at least a one shoe size difference in their feet and only charge for one pair!
