Here is another response I received about the topic.
I have one surgeon who's suture line tends to look like a lower case n
instead of a straight M-L line. No dog ears, great results. Not sure why
the
other one's don't follow suit. The other option is the sagittal suture
line
practices in Sweden for example.
It occurred to me that if prosthetists and surgeons sent me photos of
well done fresh post op amputations from around the world, it could be
compiled and somehow made available on-line under something like
Examples of Properly done BK and AK amputations Then clinicians
could print it up and make it available to enlighten surgical staff as
to what we would like to see for the patients and prosthetists benefit.
